Montana Bound!

The Bighorn River.

We’ve assembled a talented team of Eco-Stewards for our upcoming program on the Crow Reservation in Montana, where we will consider how to achieve sustainability and reconciliation through agriculture, health and green building.

Our 12 Eco-Stewards hail from nine states: Massachusetts, New Jersey, Maryland, North Carolina, Florida, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Montana. Add our leaders from Kentucky, West Virginia, California, Massachusetts and Montana, and that makes for a pretty representative group- coast to coast!

In addition to regional diversity, our Eco-Stewards will bring a wide range of perspectives from their professional and educational backgrounds. The group includes religious and environmental educators in addition to graduate and undergraduate students studying everything from sustainable agriculture to public health to philosophy. And their Christian backgrounds are equally diverse: Presbyterian, Episcopalian, Baptist, Roman Catholic and Pentecostal.

We can’t wait to see what we can learn from each other and the people we meet in Montana.

It is exciting to see the program grow and continue to draw people with a deep desire to grow and serve as eco-engaged Christians. Blessings to all of you!

I just learned of an really great Billings, Montana based organization – the Western Organization of Resource Councils — which makes me even more exciting for our time in Montana! And, I’m practicing up to sing some more West Virginia songs with y’all. 🙂 I can’t wait to meet everyone!

Can’t wait to dive into exciting discussions about creation and learn from the awesome team of people how to better reflect my creator in my care for his creation.
